Our own small house (studio) in a corner of the beautiful garden. The house was well furnished and equipped, and very clean. The details of the house were well thought out so that the space was well utilized. Access to garden furniture and grill. We loved the 2 dogs, the 3 cats and the chickens. The included breakfast was excellent with homemade bread and ditto jams. The host couple is very kind and accommodating. We received useful tips and information. We spent four nights but could easily have stayed longer.

Our first night in NZ was fabulous, setting the bar high indeed. Kaye's Victorian villa is as advertised, and more. Our room seems fully restored but is surely original as well. We looked east out onto a lovely brick patio with birdsong aplenty. Kaye's hospitality is even better - our light dinner and cook to order breakfast were both lovely. As were our little chats. Kaye is a relaxed, conscientious and attentive host.

It was so peaceful and quiet. Denise, our host, was a delight! Freshly baked bread, milk and butter in the refrigerator were indicators of the thoughtfulness in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.

For fans of Middle Earth, this is a perfect place. It is secluded with great landscape views. We loved the little outdoor cooking area and sitting next to the fire. The Hobbit Hole was very quaint and comfortable to be in. The work that was put into building this place and all of the finer details makes it a very unique experience that we really enjoyed.
