Really well equipped place to stay for a night. We are on a long NZ road trip from Auckland to the bottom of the South Island, and very much appreciated the ability to launder clothes, make our own food, be warm and cosy and comfortable (sleep), and have the luxury of a later check out at 11am. Reefton is a cute town with historic buildings and nice cafes/ bakeries. This place had everything we were after, as a stopover when exploring the Lewis pass and west coast area. The hosts had put the heat pump on as soon as we booked ( booked quite late ) so the house was lovely and warm when we arrived and we also received a lovely welcome text. The lolly jar was fabulous and plunger coffee was very nice. Bed was extra snuggly and electric blankets were perfect. Also the heat transfer system was great so that the bedroom was heated via the heatpump in the lounge. Parking right outside the front door was great too.
The location, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed and the amenities were fantastic.. It was in a quiet area with great parking. It was a home away from home. We would definitely stay again. Couples Retreat exceeded our expectations.
