Scott, Lisa and Family (including all the animals) were very welcoming and friendly and there were lovely homely touches such as the small welcome basket. It was a pleasure to stay in their accomodation. The room suited our needs well, was in great condition and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious with the homemade bread and honey in particular being very nice. We had an issue with the cooking equipment (caused by ourselves) whilst there but this was dealt with very quickly and professionally by Scott which we were very grateful for. Best of luck to the family with the development of the animal park.

Not like one of those modern big hostels without a soul, but a small lodge, warm-hearted people and a beautiful garden. Very close to greymouth and the price was absolutely great!
