Beautiful modern home with stunning views of the mountain ranges and the distant sea and Kaikoura township. The home has polished concrete floors, beautiful art work, a good sized well equipped kitchen. I can recommend having bbq on the deck where you can here the native birds singing in the trees. Our dogs stayed with us here and they had plenty of room to run outside and enjoyed sleeping in front of the fire.

We only stayed here 1 night but wish we spent more time here. Amazing food (the dinner is 100% worth it!), super friendly staff, beautiful views with deer right outside, comfortable bed, amazing amenities. Honestly one of the best hotels/lodges I have stayed at.

This place was absolutely perfect. Nice quiet area and not to far from town. The house is spacious and clean. Had a lovely BBQ dinner looking out at the amazing mountain views. Hosts are very welcoming. A lovely start to our honeymoon. Thank you!

We stayed 4 nights at Cubby House and it was hard to leave. Leanne & Richard are excellent hosts, friendly & knowledgeable of the area. Cubby House is cozy, quirky & filled with everything you need for your stay - kitchen & bath amenities, games & comfort. The distance to Kaikōura is easy and looking out the windows you can see the ocean & mountains. We had a wonderful stay here and would not change a thing. We one hundred percent recommend Cubby House! Thank you.

Kevin was so nice! In Awatea Kaikoura, you can get a gorgeous view that one side with snow mountain another side with sea, and a great farm tour. What's more, you will have a rich breakfast which I think best in my NZ tour！

The house is in a quiet landscape with surrounding grassland with cows, sheep, rabbits. Aspects that really stand out include the views- the mountains behind the house, the sun rising over the ocean in front of the house, and the house itself, which is large, with an upstairs loft bedroom and very comfortable living room downstairs. Indigo has furnished and decorated it beautifully. We really enjoyed her friendly hospitality. Kaikoura is nearby with fine walks and restaurants.
