Hotel is located right on the fjord coast beside the ferry dock and the view from the room was just stunning. Beds were really comfortable and windows are large so you can enjoy the view. There is a sauna with a fjord view and a small private beach. We came quite early but the receptionist was so kind and checked us in.

Excellent hotel and ambience. The sitting rooms are very well maintained. Breakfast was excellent. We were recommended by the proprietor to a very nice dinner 3 minutes away at Baalee Restuarant.

Perfect large room overlooking the fjord. Very good value for money - the hotel is basic but really comfortable, spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We had the subsidised breakfast at the Kviknes hotel on one day, which was excellent, and the delicioius fresh croissants and coffee/tea provided free by the Balestrand hotel on the other day. The hotel is very well positioned near the boats and has a lovely garden.

Spacious; kitchen really well equipped; lovely outlook
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The bedding was clean and there was a reasonable choice of food for breakfast. The owner stayed to let us in late (9pm). It was very convenient for the ferry and we had free parking.
