The location of the cabin is amazing, it is inside the park and the hiking trails start directly from there (the famous Besseggen ridge is very close as well). The cabin was very spacious and clean, there is a small table in front with the view of the river. The staff was very helpful in giving us advices for hiking trails and motor roads.

Set in a late 1800s wooden building, this countryside hotel is in Hindseter, 60 km from Otta. The hotel restaurant serves Nordic cuisine with local produce. Hindsæter has a wellness area, plus views of the Jothunheimen Mountains and Sjoa River.
Switzerland
The hotel is stunningly situated. The suites at the hotel are beautiful with lots of local and historical details. The lounge area with large windows facing the valley is great for chilling out with a local beer in the evening. We only had a short stay but we’re spoilt for choice on the number of hikes from the hotel- they were all well sign posted and we got good advice from reception. Breakfast was in the lovely historic dining room and used local produce. The whole place is very friendly and full of character. Can’t wait to go back!
