Breathtakingly beautiful view of the Tyrifjord from our room. We were very glad to have paid extra for a lake view with a balcony - that made our stay extra special, and I was able to get some incredible photos of the Tyrifjord at sunset.
The room was lovely. Generously sized, with a fantastic bathroom, and a fridge. Very comfortable bed, with good space either side of the bed, and bedside tables with lamps.
The staff were really helpful. Online ordering worked great - we ordered a pizza, a burger, and some beers, and got a text to say our order was ready to collect from reception. Prices for food and drinks at the hotel were reasonable for Norway. The coffee was excellent too.
Vikersund is the closest train station to the Krøderbanen heritage railway, which we came to visit for the twilight train and a steam gala. The Krøderbanen is totally worth a visit for heritage railway enthusiasts - it's the longest standard gauge heritage railway in Norway, and the location is beautiful with wonderful scenery - and some gorgeous locomotives and rolling stock.

Clean, comfortable, straightforward accommodation in a quiet area just outside Oslo at a decent price for the area (and with free parking)..The receptionist was exceptionally helpful in giving us useful advice. Lovely relaxed communal area with facilities to cook and drink coffee and play games.

A beautiful hotel in the middle of the countryside, the staff were amazing, very polite and helpful especially chein, who took the time and effort to explain about attractions nearby.
Breakfast was good, our rooms were 2 connected rooms, they were very spacious and clean. Parking is free and the city center is 15min by car.The pool is heated and amazing, and beautiful landsape at the back and front of the hotel.I loved the interiors and the unique taste in furniture. We were curious about the history of the hotel, and what we found out was amazing.We loved it and extended another night 😊.
