Lovely location with a unique character. Friendly hosts, who live next door and clear instructions. Free and convenient parking 2 minutes walk from the front door. The kitchen is well equiped.
Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Amsterdam is only slightly over an hour away too.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Nice friendly host. Clean room and modern clean bathroom. Good size room with sitting area, coffee/tea corner and enough cabinet space. Location meets my purpose to visit surrounding areas. Free parking. Warm bread and fresh fruits with breakfast. It's a nice country side property with beautiful views and well maintained gardens. There is a nice corner terrace with roof in the garden for guests to sit outside and there is also an open fireplace next to the corner terrace.
