This beautiful Riad is filled with wonders. Perched high on the edge of town, it is a haven of peace with panoramic views and plenty of separate outdoor spaces from which to enjoy them. This meant that although all rooms were full you could sit alone quite comfortably to read or enjoy the view. The pool was delicious with a shower available and variety of comfortable lounging arrangements.
Inside, the decor is a wild assortment of comfortable lounges, pouffes, tea sets, paintings, lamps that somehow works beautifully. While true to the photos, this public area is much less rustic and far more appealing. Beautiful and interesting music, softly played, add to the appeal here, along with the delicious aromas from the kitchen.
Both of our bedrooms were large and very comfortable, with great beds and quality linen, interesting and restful decor, bedside lamps you can actually read by and good natural light (and air) through the windows. Bathrooms were spacious, tiled, and well fitted.
The real surprise for us was the excellent food. We opted for the set menu dinner and were rewarded with three courses of fabulous restaurant-quality food served outside on the lovely terraces beautifully lit with solar and candle lamps.
And oh, the silence! The lovely call to prayer, across the valley, plus the occasional dog bark or goat bleat, were the only sounds to break the quiet for miles around.
An exceptional place, highly recommended, located in a fascinating town. I could hardly bear to leave and will certainly come again, given the opportunity.

We had an issue with our booked accommodation and Bagdad cafe came to the rescue. We arrived early and our room was quickly cleaned and made available. Such friendly welcoming staff across the board. The room was very clean and beautifully furnished and the pool and terrace areas great for relaxing.

This is a wonderful and magical place. It is like being transported back in time. It is an old family home which is carefully and lovingly being restored. It is candlelit so it makes for a very unique experience. This is coupled with Mohammeds friendly and honest welcome that makes sure you are comfortable. It is also hasslefree and you aren’t being pushed for anything. Dinner was also very good. The location is excellent and you stay in the historical city itself. A memorable experience. Best visited during slightly less hot months as there is no fan or A/C.

Wonderful people in an amazing historical location! Internet service in this area is very low so try and get on the wifi. The dinner prepared by the staff was excellent and served over candle light. Get their phone number and send a WhatsApp message and they will tell you where to park and come pick you up from the parking lot and help with bags. ATM available at parking lot was a life saver!
The staff was super nice and gave us a lot of tips for the trip. The dinner and the breakfast were very very good. The location was conveniently close to Ait Ben Haddou, and has free parking.
Omar and Mohammad did everything to have a wonderful time in Ait Ben Haddou! These guys are amazing, they offered us welcome drink, tips what to visit and even invited us to play cards. The place is safe and cosy, it has a parking lot, the rooms are clean with good AC and the food is so tasty. They serve authentic amazir dishes, like tajine and couscous. If you are interested in an unforgettable desert trip, talk to Omar because he organizes tours.
