I really loved the quiet location with lots of trees around. It was perfect for a very relaxing few days away from the city. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed and especially the cushions were sooooo comfortable, I slept like a baby. Very nice shower, too. And I loved that there was no TV, only a load of interesting books from different times - for a chance to really disconnect from the outside world. The hostess was lovely and responsive. What an amazing place for families: so many activities. Andrejs gave us lots of recommendations, including kayaking through the national park and my kids (aged 9 and 12) especially loved the local Tarzans Amusement park and Cesis castle. The house is located next to a small zoo and it was really fun to walk through the park after hours. Andrejs also gave us the name of a bike rental company but we ran out to time. The apartment is very spacious and we loved the sauna and then (a few brave souls) jumped into the pond afterwards. The house is very peaceful (forest all around) and Andrejs is the perfect host; exceptionally accommodating of our numerous requests and questions! We'd had a very busy vacation so it was nice to slow down for a few days and relax; We'd love to visit again.

The breakfast was fantastic for it is served in the good restaurant 50m away. We got it delivered to the room once and once it had to be cancelled because of new covid regulations. The accomodation is close to a little river and can be reached via a 50m grass path. It has a fore room for dirty clothes and shoes, a litte but clean bath with shower and working exhaust. The sleeping - living room is simple with hot water maker and fridge. No TV no unnecessary extras. It is there to rest and sleep.
