It was among the families property , had a cozy , homey flare. Shehan , and his parents were great hosts and hostesse. Gave honest advice on where to go and what to buy. Despite not having AC in the room, and not having hot water in the shower and sharing the sanitaires with other rooms the entire place was spotless. Simple but good breakfast. For strong coffee drinkers ( bring your own instant coffee)! We will definitely come back . Thank you for your warm hospitality

Nice, large and clean room with a beautiful garden surrounded the building, the big balcony was so relaxing. The host was really helpful. The Gem Market is only two minutes walk. You could explore the whole Gem Industry, Mines, Lapidaries, Labs, Gem Heat Treatments, the Gem Market etc. while staying at “Gem Field Rest” for a few days. No doubt, a great place for gem buying.

Lahiru was there most of the time and he took really good care of me. I am very thankful. Also the last half day the owner was there and was also very friendly. Furthermore the rooms are clean and quite new. It is not a very big place, but I find it charming and a nice place to stay for when you are on your way.
