The highlight of the place, the front view of the house is green with bougainvillea tree so beautiful colourful for it's flowers. The room is very big and clean. We really appreciate the area and the family was always fabulously helpful with a big smile. The family was able to organize a scooter rental for us and they prepared nice breakfast and dinner. The home stay is really perfect for a couple and little family. We highly recommend for this beautiful place for globetrotters for a peaceful stay in and it is easy for accessible quickly by walk to the place from the main road and thanking for owner and family members. Basic but very clean room. Manager is excellent: very responsive and helpful. Nice location close to the beach (distance to the Fort is walkable but not short). Very good value for money. Some rooms have balcony.

A very comfortable bed, I had the best sleep during my stay in Sri Lanka. The AC works like a charm. Nice people, nice place. We came by tuk-tuk and we parked it inside the property which is a plus.

The facilities were clean and safe, the hot water worked well, and although there were some mosquitos and gnats at night, our bed had a huge mosquito net and we slept comfortably and well both nights. It is within walking distance to local restaurants, and about 5-10 min walking from the main bus stand. The view is very nice across the water, and it is a nice calm environment despite it being right next to a road.
They seemingly have unlimited amounts of food! We were treated extremely well by the housekeeping/grounds keeping staff/family. They are incredibly kind and friendly. They cooked us an incredible meal one night, all fresh, and allowed my partner who is a chef, to step into the kitchen and learn Sri Lankan cooking one on one. We were treated to fresh lime juice and coconut juice, as well as many cups of tea and coffee (served in a French press).
The room is clean, though the lighting is a bit dark, it goes along with how the house is an old colonial/Dutch style home so it wasn't a big deal. Wifi worked well. Towels were thick and crisp.

The host treated us as if we were guests of the grand hotel. I felt as if I had a personal concierge. There was contact with the owner all the time via WhatsApp. He showed interest in whether everything was ok. There is the option to buy very tasty food - no point in eating out - at our host's the breakfasts and lunches were phenomenal and all on site and at the hour we wanted. Sensational avocado cocktail - the best drink I had in Sri Lanka. The host helped us with finding transport to the beach. I had a need to go to the hairdresser and our host organised a haircut for me - he then drove me over and acted as a translator between me and the hairdresser. And then he drove me back to my accommodation by motorbike. In addition, he constantly showed interest in whether we needed anything. He was a great inroller regarding Sri Lanka. The rooms were very clean, air conditioning in each bedroom. A comfortable sofa in the living room. Garden at your disposal. If you are passing through in Batticaloa and need accommodation I would confidently recommend this place and the host. My sincere and warm greetings to him.

My stay at this guest house was fantastic! The beach is only a short stroll away, and the serene surroundings filled with the sounds of birds made for an incredibly soothing getaway. The rooms provided everything I needed, were comfortable and well-kept. I also like that they had cycles available so I could go around the region with ease. I had a great yoga lesson on-site, and that really renewed me. All in all, a fantastic location, calm surroundings, and well thought-out amenities made my stay very remarkable. I heartily suggest it to anyone searching for a tranquil beach getaway.

Basically almost everything. The most decent owner I have encountered in Sri Lanka, he even tolerated me there up to the last moment even though he was closing the place for couple of days and I was the last guest to leave. He would arrange food or drinks, all brought asap. Location in Navalady is quite remote, but serene and beautiful.
