A serene space in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by trees & peaceful scenery. You have to cross 2 streams to get to the property, making it a very magical experience. The host was very attentive, going above & beyond for us during our stay. He also took us on a hike in the area, which was one of the best hikes we’ve done. It gives you a true glimpse into rural Sri Lankan life, a highlight of our trip. We also went on a tour of Sinharaja, organised by the host, which was also amazing. We couldn’t recommend this space more.

its right in nature, super close to the forest reserve. super cozy, beautiful and tranquil place. the family who owns the place was super friendly and accomodating - they stayed up late and even made us dinner when we arriverad at around 11 pm due to issues with our drive there. both breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good, and they even made it all vegan since i wrote in the booking message that i am vegan! we went on a nice hike in the forest reserve with a friend of the family who is a tour guide(he was very knowledgable) and one of the brothers offered to come with us to help with translation since we were a bit worried about language barriers. may be good to know that there is no hot water but we honestly did not mind at all since it was hot outside

Definitely one of the best stay at Sri Lanka! Saman and his family are very welcoming hosts, the property is beautiful — you stay in the middle of the jungle with a fascinating panoramic view. Don’t hesitate to order a Sri Lankan breakfast — it’s delicious! Also I would like to mention the exciting jungle tour we had with Saman and his friends. Saman organizes unique tours — you start at one entrance and exit from another one, so you don’t go one way twice. During the tour he tells you a lot of interesting things about the nature and animals around you. Even though 14 km through the jungle can be challenging, it’s an exciting experience! This family run place with cosy rooms is located within walking distance from the entrance to Sinharaja National Park. It offers an infinity pool with awesome views, some really sweet and playful dogs, and just in general a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the middle of the jungle. The family offers the following: - The cool Son brings you cold beer, helps and organises cheap local transport and is an amazing guide who helps you spot rainforest life (and get good photos of it), plus make sure you make it home in one piece. - The sweet Mom cooks some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Asking for the spicy option is highly recommended. - The kind Dad takes care of the place and kills any giant spider that may enter your room with a broomstick. Prices are reasonable and upfront in a remote paradise.

Really magical place. The owners are unbelievably cute and prepared us amazing dinner and breakfast and we’re really really welcoming. The view of the room and the sitting area was stunning. It was hard to leave as they really make everything to make you feel at home. Absolutely recommendable. Booking shows the property on the map. On the point on the main road there is a little way down in the forest and that’s where the rainforest view guesthouse is. So if you arrive at night and you can’t find it straight away - just call the number in the profile and they come pick you up.
