It's a very very charming boutique hotel. It has an Italian design. The manager speaks good English and knows what hospitality is. He organised everything for us, was genuine interested and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is also good. And it's easy in this hotel to also meet other travellers (with families).
The views from the hotel are stunning, it's a little bit out of the city center but therefore also nice and quiet.

The best place we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. Our highlight: The view from the room was amazing. Also the room itself was spacious, very clean and well-designed. Same for the bathroom.
The family owning the homestay was super lovely, and the breakfast they prepared was great. They even prepared something else for breakfast everyday, which was super nice.
We also loved that the homestay is out of the busy town. It was so quiet and lovely. By tuktuk you reach the city center in 15-20 minutes.

100% recommend staying at this guest house. Super clean and comfortable, there are 3 rooms, each with private bathrooms. Everything is newly renovated and comfortable. The rooms are on the 1st floor, where there is a private lounge just for the guest, though we were made to feel welcome everywhere. On the roof there is a terrace where we did sunrise yoga and meditation, surrounded by lush greenery. You can see the tower from the roof.
The owners are really nice and are able to provide Pick ups and drop off. We were taken to our next stop (Sigiriya) by their vehicle.
They also have a Tuk Tuk and can take you to the tower, wait (no rush) and return.
Food was really good and we had tasty vegetarian and vegan food. They can provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals,

We stayed in the cabana (which on bookings is the quadruple room). It was perfect. Away from main hotel, an attractive wooden chalet with a wrap around balcony. Folding doors open fully to the balcony from the front of the room with views down the valley. The sound of the river below was great as we watched the sunset. Room was very clean and if you need it, there’s a fridge, microwave and preparation area for food. We ate at the hotel, food was good. Hotel staff were all very lovely and helpful. Nothing too much bother.
We were dropped by a lovely driver, Amila, who is based in Anuradhapura but prepared to travel. He was with us for 3 days between Wilpattu and the Riverbank. Highly recommend. He really looked after us and we saw lots we otherwise would have missed. He was a very safe driver, kind and respectful of our privacy.
