Everything - the staff was nice, the place smelled very good and was very beautiful, they have a space for arcade games, an emart and gym, they provide discount for the Pizzaria and bar of the building and the parking is big.

We loved the clever compact apartment design, and convenience of washing machine. Loved experiencing the ondol style room and sleeping in floor on mats, we found them a bit thin and got a bit sore/ moved around a lot through night, however we woke refreshed each morning and felt great - no aches at all! We loved the location and walking distance to Gamchusa temple, great restaurants, Golden Bat cave, and being able to walk around the residential streets and see all the food being grown, etc. Bus network was easy to use too, we took but to Samcheok, then connection to Hwanseongul cave (about 1.5 hours travel, which includes waiting at transit centre for connection (was 40 min to the cave from Samcheok). Our favourite local restaurant for authentic Korean food experience was right around the corner, it's called Donghae DakGalbi ( 동해닭갈비), address is: Gangwon-do Donghae-si Cheongok-dong 935Gangwon-do Donghae-si Cheongok-dong 935. Highly recommend! They serve one dish so ordering is very easy, ( foreigners be sure to ask for mild). :)

The hotel is right by the sea. It's so nice to be so close to the beach. It was also quite easy and quick to come from the bus terminal by taking a local bus.

Haslla really is a must-visit! I had a great time here. Where else in the world can one say they slept in an art museum? And seeing how elements of the room decoration are found throughout the exhibition, this statement couldn't be truer

A great location, a short walk to the beach, eating places and Emart. The room comes fully equipped for a long or short stay. Car parking was easy and reasonably plentiful.
Nice hotel, the rooms are clean and there's a decent sized (free) parking. The location is really nice especially if you want to see the sun rise at the beach.
