We got upgraded to a new bedroom with aircon, which was spacious and comfortable! The family who own the homestay are lovely people, offering us free tea and fruit. The homestay is situated in a rural area just outside of the center. Saki was an amazing tuk tuk tour guide and showed us all the spots around Battambang. Thank you for a great stay :)

I am met unannounced (!) at the bus stop in Battambang/Cambodia by a tuktuk driver from my residence. He takes me straight to my accommodation. There, the two sisters and hoteliers await me with a warmth that touches me deeply. They serve fruit, homemade banana crackers including fresh fruit juice. At the reception, they give me information about their spa options and offer help in organizing my onward journey. They also give me a small list of the most useful words in Cambodian, which is really nice! They also have a small selection of elegant and hand-crafted Buddha figures and delicate jewelry - all beautifully displayed at the reception.
The two sisters Noun and Nava have been running the new 9-room bungalows together with their brother Lay for 2 months. Plain and simple, with a love for the little details. Two years ago, after the pandemic, the three siblings started their first small hotel with 3 rooms not far from their current location.
The two Noun and Nava hand me a city map without asking (!), otherwise I rarely get city maps in the hotels on my world trip. Even after the overnight stay the next morning, the two sisters knock on the glass door and bring fruit, fresh fruit juice and a homemade rice dessert specialty with a laugh. All in all for 23 CHF per night.
It is wonderful to feel how they really give from the heart with joy and passion for hospitality. It is also nice to see how tourism creates new opportunities and perspectives in smaller cities too. I wish you three continued success with your startup Muni Residence & Spa.

We had a wonderful stay with Mr. Sam and his family. Although we only stayed for one night, we truly appreciated the simplicity and tranquility of the place. Sam shared many stories with us, giving us a deeper insight into the local culture. He and his wife were incredibly welcoming and kind. The room is simple but has everything you need.
