Tatami mats in rooms, hardwood floor in common areas. Japanese footon (firm) with duvet cover on top (very fluffy and cozy). One pillow, best for back sleepers. For Winter: heater in each room. For Summer: washi paper screens on windows so one can air out the room yet maintain privacy. Shower has both a body wash and shampoo inside. Everything one needs in a truly lovely house. The property is right next to a small temple; very suitable for a morning contemplation before setting out for the next leg of your journey. I highly recommend staying at this property.
