Our hosts were extremely hospitable. Upon hearing that we were heading to a nearby ryokan, our host offered to drive us over for free (and refused the cash we pulled out of our wallets multiple times). The food was amazing as well!

The location was picturesque and overall incredibly pleasant to look around at. The property itself is very well maintained, truly delivers the classic ryokan experience, onsen are amazing and very enjoyable, the staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. The food was something else - both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast were delicious, filling and a great pleasure to partake in. Overall, would highly recommend, I had a blast staying at Kadojin.

Everything perfect, very nice and helpful staff, beautiful and cozy room and bed, you can hear the sound of river when you sleep, very good and yummy food, host even cook more dishes for us

First and foremost, the staff were absolutely wonderful, and went beyond what they needed to do to help us whenever we requested it. Things like lending us umbrellas after our check-out, taking our bags to the bus stop for later, bringing us drinks after hours when we asked, etc. The room itself was also the largest ryokan room I've ever stayed in, and felt very authentic and comfortable. They had tatami mats on the ground and I would've preferred to see the real tatami underneath, but I understand why they want to preserve the space. The ryokan felt slightly older and was not in tip-top shape, but this made me feel comfortable, like I was staying in a home away from home. It's located in a very ideal place, and is easy to access from everywhere in Tenkawa.

Great bar area with lots of drinks. Fantastic dinner and breakfast (well worth choosing after booking). Comfy simple room. Parking available and great walks near the guesthouse.

The owner is very friendly and made us felt very welcome. The place has been renovated and is clean and comfortable. The food is very good and what you can expect of a good ryokan. Onsen is very comforting. As the place is small, there is no need to fight for place in onsen.
