Beautiful, peaceful location close to Shirakawa-go (we walked but they also have a shuttle bus available). Great amenities. The dinner experience was really special and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the onsen and the late night ramen! We originally only planned to stay for one night but decided to extend our stay. It was really vacation.

This is a great place to stay at. Ainokura is way more quiet and authentic compared to the touristy Shirakawa. The owners are a super friendly family. The dinner and breakfast is very delicious and traditionally Japanese, something you just have to try. The room was stayed in was spacious and comfy.

Warm and authentic experience!
We had a great stay with the family and really enjoyed the company of goats too! The interior of the house is traditional and very tasteful. You really feel like you become part of real Japanese country life during your stay.
The location is perfect for wxploring the region and easy drive to Takayama. Closeness of picturesque river is an added benefit!

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
We had a huge room and loved the house. Parking is possible directly at the house and it's just a few minutes walk to the historic village. We should have booked more nights!

The location was slightly out of the main town, but that made parking easy. The rooms were large, the meals were in private booths in a lovely dining room, some had views.
A huge car park so very convenient for road trip traveller. Also quite close to the major sightseeing spots, only 5-10mins drive. Room was great, spacious and clean! The staff upgraded us to a suite so it was amazing :)
The apartment is very spacious and very clean. Everything is just like new. Parking is also very spacious. The owner provided instant Japanese curry rice, coffee and snack which we really appreciate. Our family of four had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone.
