This is a brand new house that is extremely clean. The house is well designed with many nifty ideas. I would love to incorporate these ideas into my home! All modern facilities and amenities are provided for in the fully equipped kitchen and house. The children loved the tatami room and found it comfortable, while the adults enjoyed being able to get out of a proper bed! The owner met us promptly and all questions were swiftly answered and dealt with. I loved the location of the house, which is just steps away from Lake Suwa, but away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. A two minute walk brings you to the public foot bath onsen, from where you can enjoy views of Lake Suwa and Mount Fuji on a clear day. A yummy Yakiniku restaurant is just next door.

After two weeks of campervan we wanted to end our Japan trip with a ryokan stay. We are very happy we booked this place! Most amazingly was the private outdoor onsen. Rooms were big and extremely clean. There was some nice matcha tea and hot water provided, so we could enjoy the little tea room! Also there were yukatas we could borrow.
