The view from main building is fine depending your room facing. I can see sunrise from my room. Can’t see sunset even from rooftop of the new building.
My room is tatami, need to set up bedding on your own. Weird sofa in our room that block my access to window. The condition is really bad. Totally sink in type. Doesn’t fit the room decor at all. The fridge has a plastic bottle for guest to use but it’s damaged so carpet get wet.
Staffs are fine but not English. So do get ready your app for translation. We happens to be serve by a staff who’s from Sri Lanka so she’s able to speak English. Early checkin is charged by hourly jpy1000. Water tax or something also charged on the spot.
There is only a convenient shop Seicomart nearby. That’s all no restaurant except hotel dine in. It’s pretty far from rausu port need to drive or take public transport. About bus travel time is 20mins to reach Akan rausu bus terminal office.

A nice place, easy to reach if you have a car. The atmosphere is relaxed, a sort of "ryokan hostel" (we stayed in a double room, not in the dorm), nice breakfast and great dinner. The onsen is what you need after a hiking day in shiretoko peninsula. A plus: the free green tea dispenser.

We wish we could get more info from the bar code in the elevator for emart hotel offers but it opened only in Japanese. We feel we missed the opportunity have dinner but were not explained the dinner options - 3 of those.
We did not use the stone bath - out and exploring all day long- but sure it would have been nice.
Would stay again for sure and would return in the winter for more great experience.
Modern boutique style hotel on the waterfront with free parking. Menu varied between Japanese and western each night with lots of fresh seafood and homemade bread and pasta. Room was spacious with lots of plugs for charging devices. Bathroom was typically small. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. Would stay again.
