I explored the area, and it was very beautiful. The hotsprings were super relaxed. Breakfast/dinner was also delicious. And of course, very friendly staff. I asked if tattoos were okay for the hotspings, and they said it was okay. Although there was a sign saying no tattoos (as well on website), they seemed to be really nice about it & allowed it. Bonus points for that.

The host was super friendly and very helpful, even when we had some additional requests. Thanks so much for all the help! The rooms were veeery spacious (converted classrooms). The shared toilet & shower facilities were also very clean and nice—overall the building interior felt very new.

Amazing property, and super cute. The food is absolutely spectacular. Tasty, well displayed and very large portions. Having the private usage of the bath was also great, especially after hiking there from Tsumago. It is honestly like living in a Japanese fairytale or myth. Our family truly loved this place, and the entire experience was the highlight of the trip. Oh, we also got a room with a private toilet, I think the only one in the property, so that was a win! If you see this place as available, book it. Staff are kind, helpful, and super nice. And there was a beautiful welcome song at dinner.

It was a very nice place to stay, located in the middle of magome juku... The owner was very helpful, had very good english and went above and beyond to accomodate us and help out as needed. This place is much better than the pictures make it look! The facilities are in tip-top shape, everything is super clean, and best of all, the room was much bigger than it looked, and the bunk bed was extremely comfortable.

We slept in a house that has been standing for over 200 years, bathing in history and quietness. We've been served exquisite dishes by the host, whose cooking skills are tremendous. The place and garden were beautiful. We loved the facilities like the kitchen, washing machine, dryer and the board games. The staff were lovely and it was nice to have a coffee shop just outside. And the most important the place had amazingly comfortable beds.
