Very spacious and well equipped place, almost directly at the beach (perfect for cooling off after a long day of art) and not far from the port. The owner is extremely kind, picked us up from the ferry and gave us everything we need and more (we even got some floaties for the beach!). Sad we only stayed for one night.

We spent two nights at the Peak Cottage, so not in a hotel itself, but in a small cottage a bit up the hill. I would say the best was the view on the bay and the port and overall calmness not disturbed by other guests. Also the cuisine is just dreamy, I could eat there every day, even the same meals, and be happy for a long long time. Also staff was very kind and helpful, speaking English pretty well. And of course - cats, very open to spoiling ❤️

Loved this place. A little dated but I loved that. so cute and very clean. we had a semi detached cottage with private bathroom. Beautiful. Sleeo on futon and tatami mat. No bed. Loved that too Cottage is right on beach.
Cottage next to us was empty. Might have been noisy otherwise as bedrooms are separated by very thin screen. I'd go for detached cottage if you can.

July 95 degrees. Extremely hospitable and our room was ready and air conditioned when we arrived. The sana was amazing, the little water area is a great place to cool off, we rented bikes for 24 down the street. Bathroom inside yurt is top notch, fridge inside, bike parking area, and the location is perfect by port and across from the beach.
Simple but great stay on Naoshima. Swim at the beach . Airco keeps it cool inside . Parking . Vending machines . Good cold showers . No towels , and you need to make up your own bed .
