Classic ryokan in an older but well maintained building with a small onsen. Very clean, great dinner and breakfast. Comfortable rooms and a very welcoming host. Plenty of parking. There is a big gassho house just across the road worth visiting.

We experienced traditional japanese room style, which i love. Ryokan is on the main road, so bus stops right in front of the spot. They provide local cuisine breakfast and dinner, so you can
experience local taste with local made tofu. There is Kuroba onsen (hot spring and sauna) walking distance around 20min.that we enjoyed. It was almost empty and peaceful. Ryokan's family is very nice and helpful, speak good english. They communicate with you before your arrival and arrange dinner if you need.

Room has all you need, full bathroom, ammenities, air conditioning, it's very clean, and all the staff is always nice and friendly. The hotel is next to a shopping mall and another shops and restaurants. A very convenient place to stay at Fukuno.

The breakfast and dinner exceeded my expectations.
Great location for those wishing to see the Gassho farmhouses off the beaten path. Welcoming staff and a little show for tourist on certain nights. Price included two wonderful meals in common area with other guests - two seating options for both breakfast and dinner. Enjoyed the outdoor onsen and parking was very convenient.
Large ryokan, close to ainokura. We had dinner and breakfast, which were good. Large free parking. Rooms are spacious. Onsen with inside and outside baths and beautiful views of the mountains. Very quiet
Authentic Japanese thatched room house over 300 yr history with Japanese style open-hearth dinning room. Futon beds on tatami floor. Bathrooms are clean but shared and fortunately fitted with modern “Toto” sanitary automatic sensor seats toilets.
The landlady and family stays upstairs and we have the whole lower ground to ourselves.
Food served is home made and delicious
This house is located in the less touristy town of Ainokura.
There is parking for 1 car (beside the house )and its free.
The landlady is especially polite and welcoming.
