Staff were flexible and they went above and beyond to help, which we really appreciated. The facility was very clean, including the shared spaces. There was a large, well-equipped kitchen and food and drink to purchase. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the small lockboxes in the bunk bed cubbies. The town is only a 10-minute walk away. Overall, it’s a good place to stay if you’re walking the Nakasendo.

Great location right on the Nakasendo way walk - we enjoyed sitting out the front having a drink, soaking in the amazing vista and atmosphere of Magome after our day of walking. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

A very unique Grandma cafe stay! We didn't see the grandma, and was greeted by younger staff. Staff took time to explain the stay here and very friendly. It's nestled in a very tranquil village. We were very glad to have the room facing the paddy fields and mountains. At night can even hear insects and the sound of nature. Morning is very beautiful. It's actually very therapeutic staying here. We came in summer so it's very hot. Thankfully the fans help to cool down the place. Opening the windows is good and the insect screens thankfully helped keep out insects. Old looking place but I must say very clean!! It's a one of a kind experience staying in a village . Good for those looking for a stay near the tsukechi area.

Great location, parking across the street. It is on the Nakasendo with easy walking access to museums and some shops. The bath was nice. Rooms are comfortable for one person, it would be a tight squeeze for two.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of the town, right on the Nakasendo Trail. Convenient parking. So much charm and character and the staff were lovely and super helpful. Dinner and breakfast were both amazing - definitely recommend getting these! Very comfy futon and pillow, decent sizeroom with large cupboard for bags.
