Katsuhiro's Ryokan is absolutely one of the nicest places I've been and nicest host I've met. The pictures speak for themselves absolutely gorgeous rooms with an Indonesian flair. Beautiful gardens with Koi. Katushiro was so gracious and took great care of myself and friends. Will definitely stay again.

Big room. Very spacious and value for money. But do note that is good only if you drive. There is basically nothing around the hotel. Breakfast was a big portion.

The old resident house was built in the early 1900s and has been very well maintained. Our hosts were so lovely and very generous! They welcomed us with small gifts and a map to show us the best sites to see. Location is very easily accessible by train.

The warm-hearted host welcomed me and we had a nice chat! I stayed 2 nights on weekdays and I was the only guest. The room was clean and cute as well as the kitchen and the bathroom with the shower! The short way to the beach is the absolute highlight of the guesthouse! I enjoyed a great sunset and peaceful mornings there during my short stay. The sea is very clean and bright and a great spot to have a relaxing day. Also the way to Matsuyama is convenient. The next station is Awai and about a 15 minutes-walk from the guesthouse. I will definitely come back!

The room was as advertised. The staff service was great. They explained how to use the amenities in the room when we arrived and gave us sweets/tea. There was a dining table with 2 doors, 1 at the entrance way and 1 at the living room so the staff doesn't need to pass through the living room to serve you food (for privacy reasons) which I thought was very well designed. We were able to select 3 yukatas for the 3 nights we stayed here. We didn't use the public onsen because we had a private one in the room so no comments on the onsen they have. The tatami room was huge and spacious. The bed was great. Aircon was easy to use. The private open air bath was well decorated with plants.

A fantastic ryokan right next to Dogo Onsen. One of the best breakfasts I've had in Japan (that's saying something), and a wonderful host in Hisa. 100% recommend staying here.
