I liked that it was the Hilton and the low price to stay at such a fancy hotel. The food options were varied although my friend and I only tried out Sensui (expensive, though!). Location-wise, it's pretty decent with a shopping centre close by and a bus stop not too far away. But most of all, I liked how big the rooms were! This was, by far, the best sized room during our entire stay.

88 House was in a beautiful location on a hill out of the city. A babbling stream flowing past I'm a rural area. The owners were kind and friendly. There were lots of Japanese artifacts and traditional Japanese games to play on a table with a heated rug underneath. Sadly we only stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer. There was a shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Everything is great. The only thing is that I think the hotel should have some regulation as regards the use of the hair dryer late at night (as there was in all the previous shared accommodation I was in Japan). Some selfish/out of place guests used the hair dryer at 1am! The bathrooms are next to the rooms! You were easily woken up by the noise. Other accommodation allow the hair dryer until 11pm or midnight only. Unfortunately, the doors to the cabins are very noisy and most guests didn't care about trying to avoid making noise at all. You only needed to be gentle with the door, it's very easy. But some people just pushed it so strongly, it appeared it was going to break.
