This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! Free breakfast with many choices. Yukata and slippers you can wear to sleep and walk down to the restaurant for breakfast. Bathroom and toilet was a good size compared to those in Tokyo. Supplied air purifier and strong ventilation fan reduced any cigarette smoke very quickly. The latte machine beside the elevator is a nice touch. Walking distance to the town center, station and convenience stores. Cheap overnight parking.

Resection service was excellent. They also agreed to store my luggage before check in time. Location is good - 10 mins from Iwaki station. Really calm and quite place. Room was pretty clean and comfortable for one person.

Located in the city centre, the hotel is standing in just a walking distance to the area for dinner and drinking. 6 minutes on foot from the railway station was just okay for me, of course there are many hotel options for travellers to Iwaki city, some of them are closer to the railway station. The hotel offers a welcome drink, served for yourself from a server machine, also self-served curry rice, only on weekdays until 9 p.m., and a public bathing room. I enjoyed bathing while nobody was there, which was refreshing.
