We bought half board packages living in a Japanese style room. Good experience to staying in a hot Spring hotel. Very good Coffee. I would not say Dinner buffet was fantastic but most food were delicious . All you can drink, including alcohol was a bonus.

We highly recommend the executive king size room which was double the size of normal rooms as we had a lounge room and bed room and it felt luxurious looking out the large glass windows to the view of the mountains
We spent extra time chilling out in the room just because we enjoyed the room the view so much
We also had both breakfast and French dinner included - the dinners were superb each night and we were there for three nights
We hired a car and it was a good place to explore all the forests Hirosaki tourist places - I really enjoyed the apple farm in Hirosaki as much as I enjoyed the forests in the beautiful mountain side
The onsen was beautiful looking out to the trees and mountains
We visited in summer and it was warm but not hot
May come back to see the snow, or the cherry festival in spring or the leaves changing in autumn

The owners are very nice and attentive. They offered us very tasty extra food and drinks and a shuttle service to the city centre. It really felt like living with the family and made our last days in Japan very special. The bathroom timetable was very convenient and worked well.

As an overseas visitor to Aomori, I felt very welcomed by the proprietress. It was a much more personal experience than staying at a hotel and she made sure to check in with me every day. And despite the language barrier, everything was explained clearly and there was lots of helpful signage posted. I also enjoyed my room on the third floor and the air conditioner worked well. The room was big for me as a solo traveler and two people would fit fine. Three might be a little cozy unless you're just needing a place to crash. While there is one shower, it was never a problem grabbing a shower each day. I stayed for 5 nights and the place appeared full each night and yet I only ever caught a glimpse of another lodger twice. If planning to use the free washing machine, just be sure to leave time to hang dry your laundry. And, as everyone else says, the location absolutely cannot be beat.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
