We booked the accommodation a bit by accident however we were very happy that we did. Without any expectations, the location was superb because it was isolated, quiet with a breathtaking beautiful vista.
The local food and wine served at the onsite restaurant was first class.

The house is located in a beautiful isolated area of Friuli Venezia Gulia in a small village of Iesizza. Nice room and the staff really cared for me. As all restaurants in Castelmonte were closed after 4 pm they prepared a cold dish for me in order to have dinner in the evening. As I wanted to start my hike already at 6 am in the morning due to the hot weather they also arranged to have something for breakfast at auch early time

There is the possibility to have dinner and breakfast in a nearby house - we didn’t know about it and carried foot all the way in our backpacks :) you definitely don’t need to do that.
