House was very well renovated, very peaceful. We felt like we were part of the history of the house. Furniture and appliances were very clean. House is very close to South coast attractions, Dyrholaey, and Westman Is. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was great. Loved the neighbors (horses and sheep).

This small, modern hotel is adjacent to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of Iceland. The rooms are small, but adequate, and the cost of our stay was good for Iceland. The hotel provided a very nice buffet breakfast for guests {included in the room cost} in a dining room reserved for that purpose. The also operate a restaurant in the hotel building that offers Icelandic cuisine based on fresh locally sourced food, and which has large windows offering views of the hillsides and farmlands at Skogafoss. Tour buses sometimes occupy the entire restaurant, but were not present when we enoyed a lunch {on one day} and dinner {on another day}. The staff were convivial and informative. Note that there is an exceptional folk history museum in the small town of Skogar that definitely should be included in any visit to the area. A waterfall that is far less-visited than Skogafoss is located behind the folk is located just behind the folk museum.
