This was the most phenomenal stay we had during our 16 day roadtrip all around Iceland. And I doubt it will be easy or even possible to find something closely comparable in Iceland regarding features, ambiente and pricing.
Due to a miscommunication we luckily (!) arrived too early and met the host's go-to handyman while he fixed the dish washer. We talked with him for hours and had the best kind of welcome and so many first hand anecotes about the icelandic life. Again, thank you so much, Fenrir!

The Bookstore Family Apartment is situated in Hellissandur. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the apartment free of charge. The apartment has family rooms.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
I would say this is one of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed. Everything was super clean, friendly staff, well equipped kitchen with a nice view, leisure room available, comfortable beds, clean and big bathrooms, parking available. Also, from an architectural point of view, the house itself has a good layout - each room does not have a common wall with neighbour and it is separated by bathrooms.I strongly recommend this guesthouse to be visited by the owners of other guesthouses - it is a lot to learn from a good example.
Kikjufell is close and on the road there is a high elevation parking spot where really easy to spot whales with binoculars.
gas station and fish and chips little street food vendor is next door. And it has a sandy beach behind the wave breaker rocks.

Car park was just right outside entrance. Beds were comfortable, toilets were clean. View of the sea right outside the window (Sea facing room).
There was also a kitchen area with sufficient facilities to cook up a meal. There are storage containers in the refrigerator for each room.
There was also a living room area with couches for everyone's use.
Room was also big enough to layout 2 luggages.
Beautiful location with great view. Very cute house with nice bedrooms and facilities. Everything was pretty clean, except some mess in the kitchen left from other people, but I can't blame the owners for that. Also, big + for free parking
Very big and nice apartment with parking space in the center of Olafsvik. The villiage itself is perfect to visit Snaefellsnes peninsula and you have good chances to see nothern lights (we saw some).
Everything was clean and quite new in the apartment and it was really big. We stayed with 4 persons (2 seperate rooms) and we had a living room with kitchen. It was a really nice stay and the best location we had during our journey through Island.
