It can b called a home away from home with a very caring and concerned host who is by profession a retired nurse. The day we reached our kids were sick bad cold fever and Amma the host suggested some medicines. Arranged hot drinking water as and when required as we adults were also bad with cold. Did arrangements of activities if . The best place we stayed in the whole of Kerala tour. All credits to Amma.... Her hospitality made us stay a day extra. Best place for family with very reasonable rate.

We loved how kind and helpful our hosts were. We loved the monkeys that visited us twice a day too. Our room was large and very clean. The location was great, a 5 minute walk to the centre and 20mins to the government booking office for the Park trips. The host offers free rides to the spice gardens...no need to pay the tuc tuc drivers 200rps!

George is running the guest house like it is nothing. Our activities in Periyar collapsed due to bad weather and we had thousand of questions for George. He answered everything, gave us ideas, organized numerous tuktuks flawlessly. We understood each other with half a word and that's very rare in India. The room and the house are great! Including organising a cooking class, spice tour and transport for us as well as helping with booking activities within Periyar National Park.
