The house was beautiful, interesting and quirky. James has created the perfect hideaway. My room was immaculate, it felt like stepping back in time while also having all the mod cons needed.
James was also good enough to get up early and make me a fantastic breakfast! 5 stars! Couldn’t rate highly enough!

It was a very comfortable stay at the hotel. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed E.g. Tea & coffee making facility, Iron and board, really good hairdryer another in bathroom( probably old one-not as good but grand for shorted haired person), plenty of mirrors, a jug to fill with chilled water from the hall near lifts (2 lifts), hanger at back of bathroom door, plenty of sockets in room especially beside beds for charging your phone. WIFI was very good (no password required). Plenty of optional lighting in the bedroom. Really nice heated swimming pool, plunge pool, sauna and steam room. Locker rooms nice and clean. Lockers don’t require a key just PIN number (very handy), plenty of room for your stuff (deep), great mirrors and lighting and again hairdryers are good quality. Shampoo and body wash provided, lovely aromatherapy scent (Lime and mandarin). Plenty of options for breakfast at the Buffet and you can order breakfast from the menu also (I.E. Full Irish/ mini breakfast, etc ). They had everything you could think of (gluten free and vegetarian options). Waiting staff were attentive and you were not waiting to long. Everyone seemed polite.

We loved our last minute stay at Roundwood House.. beautiful character property, superb dinner well beyond our expectations and a fabulous breakfast. The Garden Room bedroom was just lovely and the staff so friendly and efficient.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Location was central, property was beautifully decorated, so well equipped and spacious, had everything we needed. Host was very helpful, beds super comfortable. Very nice welcome gift on our arrival. Great secure parking. Can’t recommend enough. Don’t hesitate in booking this property
Lovely breakfast. Ordering breakfast and time the night before is an excellent service, lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Quiet location with ample parking. Nice coffee making facility in room.
Lovely welcoming hosts, great range of breakfast options. Lovely quiet location, ample parking in an area that made you feel safe. Very homely location and absolutely everything in the bathroom you could need incase you forgot anything!
Location was excellent, we attended the plowing match and it was a short drive away.
The building itself was newly renovated, so everything was very new. Fully operational kitchen with all the conveniences. Quite beautifully decorated. Secure parking. Very helpful and friendly.
Everything was fantastic, it was close to the Slieve Bloom Mountains and it was a perfect place to stay, got take away food without a problem also for they knew were the property was. The hosts were really caring and good people, house was a whole spacious flat with outside areas as well and good parking space.
Very welcoming and helpful. Accommodation was really great with lots of character. Off-street parking was large, and while the driveway was tricky, our host helped us out. Lovely spring flowers in the garden.
beautiful room in the middle of nature (car needed) with beautiful garden , tasty breakfast , welcoming and nice owner, good car park space, quiet at night, water and tea in the room
the house was lovely, comfortable, clean and cosy. it’s in an ideal location, close to shops and the town.
it has all the amenities that we needed, we could come back at the end of the day and relax, the location is nice and quiet and there is good parking. Ann and the family are very welcoming and even left some essentials to start us off, we really appreciated that Ann’s husband had lit the fire for us, it took me back to my childhood visits in Ireland. loved it here.
