The apartment above the home is recently renovated and superbly decorated. It is very high end in look and feel and is very cozy. There were five of us and we fit just fine in the two bedrooms and couch bed.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Hosts are friendly and I felt safe there staying solo. Shared dorm was good given the price. Plenty of parking and at a good location for going between Galway city and deeper into Connemara.
Staff were very nice and gave helpful suggestions where to eat.
We stayed in the double room with private bathroom. The room was basic but had a nice view. The private bathroom (wet room - suitable for disabled guests) was across the hall (not en-suite)
There was a communal kitchen open to all to prepare your own (purchased) food if desired.
Plenty of free parking.
The ample car park, the ease of check-in, a very accommodating owner, the superb WiFi, the super super comfy beds, the hot showers, the spacious room and the beautiful location. The living/common areas are superb to unwind around a board game or watching a movie.
