I had a wonderful experience staying at Duffy's Cottage. The host is very kind. We were checking in late in the evening and she had already arranged food and breakfast for us which was very nice. The Gardener's Cottage sits on a gorgeous 1000-acre estate. It seems that the owners may still be in the renovation stage. The kitchen, bedrooms, and one large bathroom looked brand new. The small upstairs bathroom needs an upgrade. That being said, it was spacious and comfortable for our family group of 5 adults and two grandsons (10 and 12). The setting was more isolated than we had imagined. You had to drive to go to town. But the grounds were conducive to long walks, beautiful scenery, vast open spaces for the grandsons to play soccer when we needed them to expend some of their energy. We would absolutely stay there again. Roderick, the owner of the property, was welcoming and gracious, even when our grandson locked himself in the bathroom and we had to call Roderick for help one evening.
