The villa is a paradise island lost somewhere in the north of Bali. We liked it a lot. The villa's owner Puja helped us with every need we had (driving, organizing trips to waterfalls, helping by buying fruits etc.). We felt like dear guests. The villa itself is new, modern, and has a wonderful pool where we spent the evenings. We sometimes also ordered food to the villa (with Grab). 100% recommendable. We have only good memories about staying in this villa.
P.S. You have to be prepared that the location is not touristic with its advantages and disadvantages. For example, there is nothing special around the villa, just houses. You have to go by car to do groceries (there is a small supermarket next to the villa though). The beach is around 15 minutes by walking, and it has black volcano sand. We saw only few tourists there and some locals, mostly children, swimming in the sea. The water was clean and without big waves (perfect for swimming) but the beach itself is wild, not "manucured". For is it was an advantage though :)

The views of Mount Batur and the lake are simply spectacular.
They will give you a great price for trekking to Mount Batur and will advise you on all the activities you want to do. But the best of all is the treatment received by the family that runs the homestay, simply wonderful and charming.
The road that leads to the homestay is not as bad as some comments say, taxis arrive without problem and if you have a motorbike you will arrive at the lake in 3 minutes.

Patrick was an amazing host! Breakfast and dinner were cooked by his talented chef and was always a delicious delight. The pool was right beside our room which felt like we had it all to ourselves surrounded by such beautiful nature. Bonus was the super cute kitten. I will be returning in January with my close friends – can't wait!

Villa Kepuh is the best getaway from busy Bali and provides an absolutely fantastic place to relax and enjoy your holiday. The owners Barb and Dave are very friendly, helpful and kind and from the second I stepped a foot in the place it felt like home (even though the surroundings are a lot prettier here than at home). The food is amazing and they provide massages for a small price too.
The place I booked was my own little cabin that looked out over the jungle and the sea in the distance. On the porch there were some lovely seats where I could read, make a puzzle and just enjoy the view. The bed is the most comfortable bed I had in Indonesia so far and the cabin comes with a fan and windows you can open. Because it's a little bit on the mountain the temperature (both at day and night) is perfect.
I strongly recommend this place for a peaceful stay in Bali. It's a little paradise on earth.
