The location is great, within walking distance of the shops and the river. Close to the jungle, you can see the monkeys playing in the jungle next to the resort.
Brian and his team do everything to make you have the best experiance.
They arranged transport from and to Medan for a good price.
The food on site is excellent! And in the evening they even played live acoustic music, even when there were just 2 guests.
The Jungletrek was also very well organised.
They go the extra mile to make sure to spot the Orang Oetangs, we saw about 20 including the Alpha-male.
No doubt 10/10! Would stay there again with pleasure.

Everything was just perfect. We arrived here at midnight and everybody helped with the luggage und greeted us so nicely. The room is little but with the best view ever. You have a cute balcony with hammock where you can relax right "in the middle" of the jungle.
The facilities are outside but always clean and if you need anything the staff is always there for you.
The food is just amazing and you can always order something, drink cool drinks and have a good talk with the local staff.
Last but not least we went into the jungle for 1 night/2 days and it was such a wonderful experience. The guide from the lodge will do everything that you see the animals you wanna see, you will get the most amazing local food ever from the cook on the campsite and all in all you will never forget this experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sama Sama Homestay. Yakub & Ema were the perfect host's. The room was a good size, the mattress & pillow were both clean & comfortable. The shower wasn't powerful or hot but not many are in Indonesia especially at this price. We had a lovely balcony which we used everyday.
Sama Sama homestay is at the main hub of the village & very close to the river.
We did a jungle trek with Yakub & Irgi ( sorry for the spelling ) and it was fantastic. Both guides being very kind to us not being the fittest of people & not rushing us. Yakub had a great knowledge of the animals, jungle & Bukit Lawang & it was fascinating to listen to him. The food on the trek was very good & plentiful.
