If you are traveling to the island of Samos in Greece and would like to stay near a very nice beach, I highly recommend Villa Maria in Kampos, on the south/southwest coast of the island. All of the ten rooms have a balcony or a terrace with room for a table and at least two chairs and all of the rooms have a view to the beach. The rooms have a sink, refrigerator, and a stovetop/oven combination unit. There are dishes and cooking utensils available. Although there are many restaurants available in Kampos, there are mini-marts and supermarkets nearby and it is possible for you to prepare meals in your room. Maria and Manolis are excellent hosts. You will be greeted warmly and if you need anything, they will do their best for you. Villa Maria is not located directly on the main road but is separated from it by a well-maintained swimming pool with deck chairs and umbrellas…and the family’s large vegetable garden. Spending time at the beach while you are in Kampos is wonderfully relaxing. To get to the beach from Villa Maria, you walk down the driveway, cross the street, and you are there. When you get to the beach and choose a sunbed under the reed umbrellas, Giannis and the crew at the Island Bar will make you feel welcome and will fill your orders for refreshments promptly. Manolis and Maria also have a rental car company called A.R.M.A. that has new and well-maintained vehicles https://armarentacar.gr/en/home-page/ We hope you will enjoy your time at Villa Maria as much as we have in our two visits there. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

It was a good location right opposite the beach. The room was exceptionally clean with towels and bedding being changed every other day. We were also given towels to use around the pool or on the beach and the sunbeds were free. The kitchen area was very clean and quite well equipped. The swimming pool was clean and very nice.

Jota and her husband have created this place from scratch 30 years ago into a little paradise with love and attention for every detail, and it shows. The apartments and lush gardens around it are well taken care of and immaculate . Being located at the edge of the village and on an elevation my apartment had both great sea view and mountain view. the hosts are very welcoming and make you feel at home.

Tiki Rooms is absolutely one of the best places we have stayed in while travelling in Greece for the past year. As is often the case, the difference is made by the people. Our hosts were among the nicest, most genuine people we have met anywhere in Greece. Apart from which... the apartment was great, spacious, well-equipped, super clean. There's a lovely garden with seating next to two large apricot trees, which makes a social area for all guests, if wanted. Plus, the fine beach, (on the protected southern side of the island), is a one-minute walk. Votsalakia itself is at the end of the long southern beaches, sleepy, but with cafes and restaurants and a good little supermarket just five minutes walk away. And for hikers - which is why we initially chose Votsalakia - the beginning of the trail that leads up to the top of Mt Kerkis, is right next to Tiki Rooms. Oh, and when we arrived, Elissabet, our host, had prepared coffee for us, and left cold beer and water, so that we'd have a choice, whatever we wanted. Perfect.
