Location was peaceful and rural and away from touristy Makrygialos. Perfect for walking or driving to quieter beaches. Interiors were simple, interesting (arty) and traditional. Really appreciated having the bedding changed and room cleaned every few days.

Villa Marie is fantastic and has everything required for a lovely relaxed holiday one of a few similar villas with a big shared pool which we enjoyed immensely and because a lot of the villas were unoccupied we had to ourselves on most days. Only a 10 minute walk down to the sea front and a good selection of restaurants and shops. Giorgos is a very responsive and helpful host and overall highly recommended.

such a beautiful place! we stayed as a family with a toddler and baby in Lemonia, the ground flour villa with private jacuzzi, garden, lemon tree, 3 spacious chambers, 2 bathrooms and a lovely kitchen with dishwasher. How much we enjoyed the private outside area, such a relaxing space! The environment is a pure gift; walk 5 steps outside and you’ll meet a beautiful sea, cosy restaurants and bars, but all not crowdy, and awing (my senses could not stop enjoying the cooling breeze, the clear water, the calming waves and the warm sand… such a gift! last but not least; the Cretan people; before I knew it; I was hugging locals, and how lovely the were for my kids, incredible! The South-east Cretans are golden. more golden than any Chrissy Island beach. Special kudos to Romeo, managing Lemonia residents, Greek though in love with Italy and Russia, he showed us the warmest heart, was ready any minute to support, help or just have a laugh.. This hotel opened a couple of weeks before we arrived. So eventhough not all amenities were opened yet, we were having amazing time. Every inch of the hotel is spotless clean, personnel is always smiling and making sure that you are having a good time. Beautiful pool, breathtaking views of the rocks, valley and sea, tasty food, spacious rooms with great bathroom - this was everything we needed for great relaxing holidays:-) thank you!

The Apple Apartment is a super nice and cozy apartment with direct view from the terrace to the beach (200m away). Penelope the host is super kindly and has a lot of good ideas for activities you can do on the island. We'll come back!
