Remote, a bit of a drive to reach, but totally worth it if you like a quiet secluded place. The evenings were chilly, perfect for summer days, the sky full of stars and the garden perfect for chill-out. Chrisoula, our host, was most welcoming and available for us. Any question we had, she was very responsive. The place was lovely, very well equipped with everything needed. The house is quite spacious, clean and modernish designed with good taste. You have close by local taverns in the area (we liked Rotonta so much, just 10-15 min walk). Ps. There is AC in all rooms, so nothing to worry about here.

The house was fully equipped with eveything you need. Very big sleeping room, very big balcony. The view was great: sitting in the jacuzzi and enjoying the sunset was a special experience....The only thing you heard was an owl. The host is very friendly and helpfull ( and very active). The boiler did not work at arrival, but was repaired/replaced within 24 hours.

My recent stay at this charming wooden cottage nestled in the tranquil Cretan countryside was nothing short of idyllic. Set away from the hustle and bustle of city life and the usual tourist spots, it offers the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. The attractions and the sea are conveniently reachable, ensuring that you are not too isolated from the vibrant local life. The cottage itself, though compact, exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an exceptionally cozy place to live. Each morning and evening, I had the pleasure of dining outdoors in the garden, enjoying meals while gazing out at the rolling hills dotted with olive groves and the distant sea—pure bliss. The outdoor fire pit added a rustic touch to my evenings, perfect for grilling local produce under the starlit sky. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the alfresco cold-water shower, which provided a refreshing and almost ethereal experience under the moon's glow. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, eager to share their knowledge of the area and point out hidden gems that enhanced my visit.

Villa Chryssi is a very beautiful home in the small village of Koukunara on the hills behind Kissamos. The home is brand new with a lot of amenities (full air conditioning, washing machine, smart tv and internet with WiFi). The kitchen is very well equipped (with full oven, microwave and glass ceramic hob) with the possibility to eat inside or outside. Last but not least there are two big plus: the beautiful pool with falls and hydromassage and the BBQ area with table and umbrella. Moreover there is a breathtaking view from the bedroom balcony!!! Finally Chrissa (the host's daughter) was very kind and helpful, showing us Cretan hospitality and making us feel like family members!!! Hope to see you soon again
