Athina is a genuine host, who goes out of her way to make sure you have an amazing stay. We have never met a host as hospitable as her. She definitely made our trip more memorable. Her accommodation was also very clean, which was well set up with a lovely heated pool and a beautiful view.

As the name suggests, very luxurious!! You have everything you would need for a stay, very spacious and the air con works amazingly! The pool must have been slightly heated, it was amazing to be able to use it anytime day or night (it was lit up at night). Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything you need. Just a fantastic stay!

Our whole 3-night experience at this hotel was excellent - the welcome on arrival, the room, the poolside facilities, the breakfast, the ease of parking, the very close proximity to the village centre and the sea.....we could go on! There is ice-cold Mythos beer on draught at the poolside bar too. We must also mention the family-run sister restaurant - The Boukari Beach Seafood Taverna - where the food on offer in a magical setting next to the sea will always be remembered by us. It may be a 700-metre or so walk from the hotel, but well worth it. But, the biggest pleasure came from meeting the owner of Hotel Penelope, Kostas, and his family team. There is a real home-from-home appeal at this small, friendly hotel and we fully recommend it.

Nothing that I write would be enough to cover the feeling that my girlfriend and I have had whole staying in Golden Sunset. Both of us have pretty high expectations even though we don’t complain and we simple leave the hotels that we don’t like and never come back. Andreas and Theodoros and their family have met every single expectation that we have had for our vacation, and we honestly regret that we didn’t spend the whole 7 days in this hotel while we were in Corfu. I will try to be concise and simply explain why you should stay here. Location, although seems far from the Old Town of Corfu, is more than convenient. Boukari is quiet place where you can relax your mind, body and soul. There are no sounds of loud cars and parties, so it this would make your sleep nice and tight. You can rent a car and reach anywhere around the island pretty easily. There is also plenty of parking spots, and you don’t need to worry about your car getting damaged. Check in was very smooth and efficient, and from the very first moment we saw that our stay here would be awesome. Room is very cute and cozy, there is plenty of space to leave your luggage and clothes. Bathroom seems new, and there is everything of hygiene products that you may need. Everything works and there was no any issues regarding tv, ac, and other appliances. And how about that balcony view, oh my God (check pictures for more). Food for the breakfast and in the restaurant is delicious, and service is fast and efficient. But, what I want to point out the most is the kindness, politeness, and professionalism of the owners and staff. I needed the iron as there was not the one in the room, and Andreas called me after a few minutes and said that he will borrow it from his mother and give it to me. I mean, this is what we call going an extra step in your hospitality. It was my girlfriend’s birthday, and Andreas made sure that there was a bottle of prosecco waiting for us when we come back from the beach.
