Although it is 7 km from the beach it is a superb location with beautiful sea views, large clean pool. We had impeccable support from the lady. Villa is equipped with everything needed for a family. Outside by the pool there is a terrace with table and barbecue where you can spend the afternoon in peace. Worth the 10+ and we will be back with great pleasure.

Lovely place in the countryside a few minutes walk from Lake Kournas. Very friendly and welcoming host. Peaceful and quiet. Nice room with large comfy bed and a big balcony. A great taverna down the road for dinner.

We stayed here for 4 nights, in the lower floor apartment which was very spacious and well equipped. I could easily see us spend here an entire week or more. There’s also the pool which has a great view where you can enjoy the sunset. There’s parking as well. Just be aware there’s a short but steep ascent to get there. We struggled at first but the host gladly thought us how to approach it and after we had no problem. There’s also a great tavern with a beach if you cross the road.

Spotlessly clean, great kitchen with all of the things to cook a nice meal. Good coffee filter machine, also greek pot for making traditional Greek coffee. A lovely 11 days stay in a spacious villa with plenty of facilities and very clean. Michalis is a fabulous host, visiting every day to empty bins, clean the pool and answer any questions (and equally happy to not visit if you don't need him). He's also always available on WhatsApp for any questions.
Finding homemade Pasticcio cooked and ready for us on arrival was very welcome after travelling. As was finding the fridge well stocked with essentials for our first day...so no rushing to the supermarket on arrival.
The villa is excellent...spacious, very clean, well supplied in all respects whether it is towels or sun loungers. The dishwasher and washing machine really helped.
The town is a short walk away (along or across a busy road) and take a torch in the evenings if you will walk home (Michalis kindly provides one). Or take a taxi for 5 or 6 €. All the taxi companies are good, and book your transfer from the airport direct with them as cheaper than airport taxi transfer.
If you hire a car, hire in the town after arrival, not from the airport....its MUCH cheaper.

The property is as described, a studio room. The room is spacious, the bathroom is small but has a great sower and everything you could need. Kitchen has everything you could require to feed two, even though eating out is more enjoyable. Outside BBQ and eating our area with fantastic views. I really wanted to stay longer. It was a small studio without a pool like others but my host was very nice and always messaged me when any pool is available
Also sent me a lot direct link to places to visit, eat or drink or more simple like shopping near a village.
I had a good contact all the time by What’s up and also he visited every night as well.
There is a car park if you rent a car
The lady that showed us to our room was lovely even though we struggled with communication. we had to whatsapp through her son any queries. Location is great easy to find and near to the lake, with parking and good wifi.
What let it down was there was no hot water in the evening, had to ask for it to be turned on and same again in the morning, so we skipped on the showers as we had to leave for the airport. Basic breakfast, was told that if we wanted fried eggs etc it was an extra 15 euros!!!

The apartment was really nice, exactly like the pictures. It has a private parking, 2 supermarkets right next to it and also a car rental shop. AC in every room.
You can take the bus from the airport in Chania, it's a 5 minute walk from the bus station to the apartment.
