The stay in Irinas Guesthouse was marvelous! We enjoyed the quiet location and also the tour to a tower in the village as well as the opportunity to milk cows. We were even shown how traditional Georgian dinner got prepared. We warmly recommend Irina as a host!

This is the best guesthouse you can stay in this village. The owner is a great person and he sincerely treated us as his dearest guests. He is a direct descendant of a family that had lived in this house for 900 years. The house itself has a part which was deliberately left untouched so you can see with your own eyes how Svan people lived 900-300 years ago. I cannot stress enough how awesome this place is and how hospitable the owners are! Staying there was one of the best experiences we had not only during the Mestia to Ushguli track but during our entire trip around Georgia.
