The Retreat was delightful, set in a secure gated gardens with views through the valley to Motherwell. Very easy to get to and perfect access to road links.

There was a problem accessing any of the TV channels. Rang down to reception and the matter was dealt with quickly and we were supplied with a new remote. I also loved the comfy armchair in the room and the shower
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The unpreposing exterior didn't prepare me for our modern, good-sized room with a door opening to a small deck. the bathroom was ultra-modern, clean and comfortable. There was a good assortment of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies on the desk along with a kettle to boil water. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely parking lot at the rear. Breakfast was good in the morning.
The room was massive. Huge TV. Bed was comfortable. Check in was quick and easy. Free parking right next to the property. Free WiFi. For the price the property was very good.
The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I asked to move rooms from the room we were allocated as I like the room with a bath and this was no problem at all as the room was available. Lots of free parking, the food was lovely and the price of drinks and food was very good.
Nice Room, very spacious & had Tea/Coffee facilities. Well Appointed Bathroom, Good Size TV on wall. Very Quiet Property considering it is on a main road (only witnessed light traffic on our stay) Ample Onsite Parking Area.
