Our stay at Yr Hen Farcdy was the most cosy and hospitable B&B we had the pleasure of staying at on our tour of Wales. Mike and Sue are the most amazing hosts and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They have a wealth of information to share about the area and can point you to all the best attractions. Our accommodation was perfect and provided everything we needed. The magical garden setting is such a peaceful surrounding and make the place very special.
The breakfast was outstanding and delicious and we felt it was one of the best breakfasts of our trip. We can highly recommend Yr Hen Farcdy and would definitely return.

The place was superb and very near to walking areas around Ffestiniog areas. The home was clean and the amenities were excellent. I think I would still go back if the amenities and prices would still be the same next year.

We stayed in the Llechwedd Glamping tents as we wasn’t able to stay at the hotel.
We were very happy with our accommodation, it felt like we were staying in a cabin as opposed to a tent!
It was clean, warm and very comfortable.
The beds were lovely, the shower was fab and we had a fully equipped kitchenette where we cooked some lovely meals.
As there’s no TV, we played board games and cards which was great as these days too much family time can be spent on phones or television/films. We had breakfast on our own terrace and walked our dogs on the Quarry paths early in the morning.
Watching the zip lines across the quarry was fun too!
We had our own log fire which was a lovely treat of an evening whilst playing chess.
Highly recommended.

The lovely old house has been modernised to an exceptionally high standard with excellent stylish fittings. We particularly liked the modern wet room. All the equipment we needed was there, good WiFi signal and full access to all entertainment channels. Parking was easy. It is a lovely house well situated for access to all main routes in N Wales.

Cosy, cutest place, comfortable bed, comfortable sofa bed, spotlessly clean. Special little touches of prosecco on arrival, also milk in the fridge, biscuits & crisps, toiletries in the shower. A beautiful & spacious cottage in a great location with a few walks on the doorstep. The rooms were clean & tidy, the kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the great parking space and a nice big green space close by for our dog and my husband’s training sessions. 🙂

Location was great and the lodge was in a really good spot with parking right outside. The property had everything that was needed for a stay. Particularly appreciated the tea & coffee supplies when we initially arrived.
Very cosy, isolated feel, even though it's essentially a garage attached to a small row of cottages.
Welcome gifts were brilliant and very welcome.
Plus a lovely hot tub all ready to jump in to. And a private parking space off road was really good too.
