WOW!!! Now that's a hit! Kelly and Paul are doing a great job! We did a roundtrip around Scotland so only stayed 2 nights, but I can see this accommodation for a much longer time. The breakfast you get is made from ingredients grown in the garden and it is amazing! The hot tub is really great especially on clear nights when you can see the whole starry sky with no light smog. I also have to mention The Kelly Kettle, a small self-service shack for passing tourists as well, where Kelly will make you a proper espresso on request.

The main building with the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Food was great with a good selection of beers. The room was clean with a view on a creek. The bathroom was shared with another room, clean with a nice shower.

Altskeith Country House is wonderfully located and offers breathtaking views over the loch & surrounding mountains. The service is personal and my wife and I loved breakfast and dinner. The self-smoked salmon with scrambled eggs for breakfast was wonderful as were our dinner courses that all had a personal and creative touch - the hand-writing of a really great cook. If you're a nice person yourself you won't meet nicer hosts! ;)
