Lovely establishment. Room nice but compact. Highlight was the breakfast. In 20 years of walking from place to place and staying in different places every night, this was the best breakfast. Fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats, local cheeses, cooked options, pastries and two homemade cakes! All this and great location for pubs and restaurants..

Very clean and comfortable accommodation set in a very peaceful residential area within a short walk of all Stanhope's amenities. There is parking for two vehicles on the driveway and a private rear garden which gets the morning sunshine. In the evening, all you really hear out there are the sheep across the river and the occasional owl.
The house was very cozy and everywhere was clean. The towels were large and very soft. The beds were comfortable. Parking was easy and a short walk to the high street.

Lovely, well-kept cottage with everything we needed for our stay. There was always a parking space free outside (note that this is on a steep hill - we went up the next street along so that we were facing downhill when we parked).
Stanhope village has a good range of shops, including a well-stocked co-op, baker, greengrocer, chemist, hardware, etc. There are some nice walks in the vicinity and if you have a car it mages a great base for exploring Weardale.

This is a spacious two bedroom apartment with a large hot tub privately screened in the courtyard. Furnishings and decor are lovely. Kitchen is well equipped. Located near the middle of town with easy access to local shops and services.Plenty of parking in the Castle grounds.
