Right, this is a classic 'you get what you pay for' moment and I certainly wont be making the mistake again.
This hotel would be better off being pulled down. It is at the end of its life as a structure never mind a building where people can stay. It requires thousands of pounds spending on it.
The exterior has overflowing dustbins close to where you park your car and quite simply there is no routine maintenance taking place.
That goes for the inside too.
Our bed was clean and that's about all I can say positive.
The room had a pungent smell of spiced food that required us to sleep with the window wide open to stop from feeling ill. It was like sleeping in the kitchen of a takeaway curry house.
All decor is in a poor state walls, carpets furniture are all fit for the tip.
We appear to have been placed in the front building which was far more pleasant than the rear annex.
Heavens knows what state the rooms are in there. That building was complete with filthy rotten windows with half curtain rails hanging down and rubbish everywhere. I appreciate that some workers who are in grimy jobs are not necessarily going to look after their accommodation but this is literally treating them with contempt from the outset.
Thankfully we were away by 4am and to be honest, other than providing a roof over our head there is nothing positive to say other than the price paid...ok. I admit it I got what I deserved

We were attending a gig at the cricket ground and the price for the room for 2 nights outweighed anything which was central!
4 people (3 adults and 1 child) for less than £250- bargain!
The location was a 10 minute stroll to a tram, in the city in less than 20 minutes perfect.
The room was spacious and perfect for the 4 of us. Tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of space to unpack clothing with a wardrobe, chest of draws and a desk.

The owner was very welcoming. It was a lovely well appointed room with a unusual "swagged" ceiling and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean with a great shower. It was easy to find and had free parking
