Me and my partner had a great stay here, hosts were super welcoming and the view of the airport runway for me was a bonus really fascinating seeing planes take off up close. Also very very clean b&b, Would definitely stay again if needed. Thank you for having us.

The room was exactly as it says it felt like home. The room felt spacious and even had a small table and chairs to sit at to eat. Everywhere was extremely clean and the host had paid attention to small details to enhance our stay. These included packets of biscuits and croissants and cheese biscuits. Small jars of tea, coffee and sugar and sachets of cappuccino. There was also a mini fridge containing milk and bottles of water. The welcome book gave us all the information we needed about Rochford including taxi numbers and places to eat. We had a good nights sleep warm and cosy bedding. Jo our host was very welcoming . We would be very happy to return .

This was my second visit staying (fourth to the actual hotel and I brought my elderly father for the first time who loved it. We both had balconies which I loved as you can just sit with a tea or wine and relax. We came on the train and it was so easy to get the bus from Southend Victoria. We all had a lovely lunch and went to the bar area in the evening when my daughter arrived. It was lovely to be waited on. Breakfast as always is good and the walks around Thorpe Bay enjoyable. The rooms are always exceptional and the staff are always very helpful. Thank you to the male staff member on reception (apologies on not taking his name) who helped explain how to make stays easier if your father's hearing aid is not particular good! I had not travelled without my mother previous to this trip so needed a bit of advice on travelling with an elderly parent.

The Moorings location is on the seafront, some 15 to 20 minutes walk to the centre although there are numerous bus's running into town. Personally, I enjoyed the walk. My room was on the ground floor next to the bright little dining room. Plenty of choice for breakfast and Emma, the host, was very friendly and made the stay like a home from home. There was also a handy small store for my bicycle.
A ride or walk to the end of the longest pleasure pier in the country is a must when visiting Southend!

Superb location right next to the airport, very easy to find, lots of free parking. The room was spotlessly clean and we were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. It was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.
Nice one bedroom flat 10 minutes walking distance from Southend airport. Everything you need for a short stay. Surrounded by take away shops, so the food is not a problem. A little shop next door. The bed is very comfortable and clean,hot water all the time. The kitchen equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, cutlery. Very quiet in the night , compare with day time. Free parking on the side road.
